Cross-Border Freight

Cross-border freight fails at the border, not on the road. A missing commercial invoice, an HS code that does not match the goods, or a broker who was never notified will hold a trailer at the crossing for days while demurrage accrues.

We coordinate the documentation before the truck leaves, not when it arrives at the bridge.

Why shippers use us for this

Paperwork before the wheels roll

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and customs filing checked in advance.

Broker coordination included

Use your broker or ours — either way we make sure they have what they need before arrival.

Every major crossing

Laredo, El Paso, Otay Mesa, Nogales, Detroit, Buffalo, Blaine and the rest.

How it works

Four steps, start to POD.

1

Send the commercial detail

Commodity, HS code, value, country of origin and Incoterms.

2

We file and notify

PARS or PAPS filed, your customs broker notified with the full document set.

3

Cross and clear

Trailer arrives at the crossing with clearance already in progress.

4

Deliver in-country

Direct through-trailer, or transfer to a domestic carrier, whichever the lane needs.

Straight answers

XBOR questions.

What is the difference between PARS and PAPS?
PARS is the Canadian pre-arrival review system for freight entering Canada. PAPS is the U.S. equivalent for freight entering the States. Both let the broker start clearance before the truck reaches the border, which is the whole point.
Do you handle the customs clearance yourselves?
We are not a customs broker. We coordinate closely with yours, or introduce you to one we work with regularly, and make sure the documentation is complete and filed on time.
Does the same trailer go all the way through?
Into Canada, usually yes. Into Mexico it depends — many lanes transfer at the border to a Mexican carrier, though direct through-trailer service exists on major routes. We will tell you which applies to yours.
